The ASA was founded in 2001 by Rod Ratzlaff after he had experienced Ski-Biking. Rod started the ASA with the intention of gaining momentum in the push to expand the sport of Ski-Biking. Great strides were made in the sport of Ski-Biking under his leadership. Rod ran the ASA until 2009 when he handed over the reigns to the ASA, but Rod still plays an active role with the ASA as an Operations Consultant.
The leadership of the ASA was taken over by Greg Linder in September, 2009. Greg will be leading the ASA with the same goals as those of the ASA founder. The sport of Ski-Biking will be promoted to the ski resorts around the country to give them information about the sport and the benefits to their current and potential customers.
The ASA is gearing up for serious growth over the next several years, and we hope that everyone who visits this site will step on bike (stepping on board seems so un-ski-bike) with us to help push our sport into the mainstream.
Please take a few moments to register with us in our guest book to show your support for Ski-Biking. This will help us to show how much support Ski-Biking has around the country.
