Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the American Ski-Bike Association. We are here to support you and your ability to get out on the slopes of your choice and ride, but the bottom-line is that SKI-BIKING NEEDS YOU!! Your annual membership dues and donations help support the operation of the ASA and the funds go towards achieving our goal of promoting the sport of Ski-Biking. Without membership dues, the ASA is not able to promote the sport to resorts. By joining the ASA, you are giving yourself a voice in the effort to bring Ski-Biking to the mainstream. Your support can make a lasting contribution to this sport.
But the ASA is much more than that. The ASA is about community, and the desire of the ASA is for all members to be able to get together and have a good time. As a card carrying member of the ASA, you will be part of a community of people who share some common ground with you. You will have the ability to stay current with events that are going with other ASA member.
You'll also get some nifty stuff like our eNewsletter and the official American Ski-Bike sticker to put on your car or bike. Let the world know that you are a proud Ski-Biker! You'll also have the ability to submit your used bike postings on our "For Sale" page.
What is Expected of ASA Members:
As a member of the ASA, part of your responsibility will be to treat everyone on the mountain with respect. This includes skiers, snowboarders and the mountain employees. When a skier or snowboarder asks about Ski-Biking, tell them. They might be interested enough in the sport to give it a try. Remeber, you are an ambassador of the sport!
If a mountain employee tries to talk to you about any of the procedures involving Ski-Bikes on the mountain, kindly agree with them and go on even if you could explain that resorts policy and procedure for Ski-Bikes in your sleep. Those employees are there to help, and they can be some of our strongest support. Provide them with information, not an argument.
Those same mountain employees are getting asked questions about our sport as well. The answers they give will be based on their opinions and experience. If a Ski-Biker accused the employee of having a big nose and an ugly dog, they won't be giving the most glowing report to interested people. A little bit of grass roots marketing will go a long way.
You are, as a member, representing the ASA brand. The ASA team is going to be behind you 100%, working hard to give you more opportunities at more resorts. Don't do anything that is going to be counter-productive to that effort. The ASA needs a strong brand name, and you are our advertisement.

If you join online, please email the information requested from the form below. This will allow us to post your profile on the member list. You may also print and fill out the form below to join the ASA by mail.

As a member of the ASA, you will be expected to hold yourself to the highest of standards. You are the ASA. Every time you set your bike on the slope, you represent the ASA. That should reflect in your actions.
